Ocean Lanes was located at 1420 East Ocean Avenue, Lompoc, CA 93436, across from Home Depot and the new Lompoc Hospital.

In the month of May 2007, an out of state developer filed plans to "raze" the
bowling center to build an 80 unit apartment complex. His stated intentions was to start the project in December 2007. The
massive loss of income was the immediate result of the announcement. From June 2007 to October 2007 a loss of 300 league bowlers,
5 bowling leagues, 50 youth program bowlers, and 2 youth bowling leagues did not form. The good news was that the summer of
2007 was the best year for the "Say NO! to Drugs and Say YES to bowling program. We thank
all the customers and bowlers of Ocean Lanes.
