Breast Cancer awareness bowing fund raiser was held on Friday, November
2, 2007. Check-in was at 6:00 PM, bowling started at 6:30 PM and ended
at 10:00 PM. This event was a great success. Thank you very much to
attending and for your donations. The event was sponsored by VON's and
Ocean Lanes Bowling Center.
Bowling Fall Classic Trade Show
Reno Nevada. We just returned from the trade show that started Sunday
October 7 and ended October 10, 2007 at the Silver Legacy. We go there
to meet with the Bowling Industry leaders and vendors. We work with the
USBC President and the BPAA president on improving the sport of
bowling. Ideas are traded to improved the business operation of the
bowling center. Many hours are spent in classes and with the trade
show. It is a very valuable experience. Now we have to work hard to
improve our operation.
Say NO to Drugs, Say YES
to bowling is a student program where each student in the local area is
provided a free student bowling ID card that may be used to get one
free game of bowling, including the bowling shoes, each day of the
summer, starting June 1 and ending August 31. Over 11,000
cards were distributed for this program in the Lompoc area schools. An
additional 5,000 were distributed for Santa Ynez, Buellton, Solvang,
Los Olivos, and Los Alamos school districts.
The kids can purchase additional games of bowling if they choose. We
had a great turn out for this program.
The goal of the management and staff of Ocean Lanes "A
Family Bowling and Entertainment Center" is to provide the best
possible entertainment to our customers. If we do that well, tell you friends
and neighbors. If there is a problem then tell Robert or Belinda so we can resolve that problem.
